About France...

Long time ago I wrote about a far country called France, at that time I was so motivated with the idea of going there for intellectual matters, but now... some things has changed, I still want to go but no for the same reasons. At that time I din't know much about the country, now I have the chance to talk regulary with a French girl, that has really changed my perception about France. Now it's seems to me a lot more like a normal place, like anywhere else, similar problems, similar way of life. Is a fact that we have been educated all our life looking to the old continent (and North America too, not my case) like a role model. A lot of time it was that way for me, I used to think about their culture like someting especial, maybe better,  but now I prefeer to think about it more like a place to visit, to live, and to learn about their culture, maybe to study someting related to philosophy or cinema, but just for the experience of living away of this country.  Is not a goal on my life now, like it was before, but still is one of my main objectives.

PD: "Chinese Man" is a French music band that i like a lot:

This is the end my only friend, the end...

Well, I ended up liking this little foreign language space. I like the process of translating the feelings and ideas on my mind to another way of expression, another representation system similar in many ways but different in fact. In a subtle way it’s like putting things backwards to me. It’s another route to express ideas, an exit door on the back of my mind. I really like that about language, how every culture modifies it at the time that gets used, like a tale that writes itself as we tell it. In this case, Spanish and English dialects shares some root, the Romance languages, that’s why so many words sounds and writes almost the same on both languages. I think that understanding that fact helps me a lot on my learning of this language, but the key for me is try to “think in English” directly, not try translate what I’m thinking on my mind.
This blogs helps me a lot on that purpose, that’s why I like it, and now I think that is so much easier to me to express myself, at least on the paper, which I think that’s a previous step on the way of mastering the language.

Now I Feel this happy:

Thanks Blog! :D

Yo soy tu amigo fieeel (8)

Well I should say that I have many friends now, I’ve meet a lot of people since my first year at this University, but in fact, there’s just a few that I consider close friend in which I could truly trust. But this post is not about them; this post is about the person that I consider my best friend.  His name is Oscar Sepulveda, I’ve known him like 14 years ago on the primary school and since then we were inseparable friends. He's my best friend for many reasons, we spent so much time together at school that each one knows almost everything about the other. All the growing up process that we live at the school, sometimes traumatic to many people, I remember it like the best years of my life, and that’s in many ways thanks to him, for having such a life partner to having fun, to help facing my problems, and not to worry so much about the school. Now, we don't spend much time together like those days, due to our careers, but from time to time we meet to chat and have fun like the old childhood days.

Que elegancia la de Francia!

"Que elegancia la de Francia!"

If there's a place where I trully desire to go is France. There's various reasons, but the main ones are coming to my mind just a few months ago. That's because since a while  I've started a self motivated research campaign. A personal quest looking for an explanation of all the things that most concerns me right now. All those things are complex relations of power, social structures, capitalism, cinema, time, movement, my self relation with the word, etc.
This lonely path leads me, inevitably to one spot of the globe, that's France. That's because all the authors of all those books that I've reading come from that place. So that's what caught my attention. Is France a magic place where everything can happen? I doubt it. But certainly is a good place for thinking.I believe that the rich culture has something to do with it, certainly. I mean that wherever you look at, there is a historical monument, some typical places that you could only look on the postals, places where the history began to write itself long before ours tales of this place of the world could even take place.
For me is not a travel to can take me a picture beside the Eiffel tower, is a trip to get soaked with that way of thinking, a way that we use every day without even taking notice,  the eurocentrism that we
don't understand.
I truly believe that more early than late I'll be taking me a picture beside the Eiffel tower but just right after having traveled all around that country, and planning the next place to go.

Quentin Tarantino's show

Quentin Tarantino is an american filmaker from Knoxville Tenesse thats starts is career on the 90's.
Is famous for his irreverent style that mix togheter a lot of diferent influences such the Hong Kong Kung-fu movies, the Grindhouse genre, the Spaghetti wester of Sergio Leone.

He has done a lot of movies, the most famous are "Reservoir Dogs" and "Pulp Fiction" 2 classics of his filmography.

The most I like about Tarantino is that he is capable of put together a lot of differents pieces from such differents places and still can tell pretty interesting stories. The characters of his movies are never plane, they allways have such deep backgrounds that make's them interesting.
Other thing that I admire is that with his first commercial success "Reservoir Dogs" he was so smart to put togheter a low budget movie and make it appears like a big budget movie. Using just a few locations to place the action and focusing the intensity of the drama on the actors he build this big story an tells it whit just a few elements. That's be Smart.

A dark night for the Dark knight

The dark knight is an action film released on 2008, from the American director Chirstopher Nolan based on the popular franchise from DC comics “Batman”. The film is starred by Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne, the alter-ego of Batman, Heath Ledger as The Joker, and Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent.  The others members of the cast are Michael Caine as the loyal butler Alfred, Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel Dawes, Gary Oldman as Lt. Jim Gordon and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox.

The film is the second part of a trilogy that offers a new and mature look over the classic Batman series, giving a deeper psychological background to all the characters.
Batman is a multimillionaire businessman that has lost his parents when he was a child. They were killed by a third-rate thief outside of a theater. This fact conduces the young Bruce Wayne to use all his money and technology to fight against crime.

On the film, his historical arch-enemy of the comic series, “The joker”, a cold blood and pretty ingenious criminal, appears as a new and unexpected menace, causing much chaos on Gotham City. Batman gets forced to use all his intellectual abilities to trace The Joker, but when he finally finds him, he discovers that The joker is not like any other enemy. The joker represents all his fears and, in order to put end to his menace, Batman has to cross his only rule, not killing.

This is my favorite film because the character of “The joker” caused me a deep impression when I saw him on the cinema, it was terrifying. The interpretation of Heath Ledger seems more like an incarnation, in fact, Ledger was found death by overdose of painkillers before the film was released, because he developed a severe depression after get involved on the role. I think that the psychotic personality of The Joker and his deep antihuman philosophy cause a severe impact on Ledger who was an actor whit no formation on acting, so he was unable to get rid of such a heavy role. Ledger is the first real victim of The Joker.

I love Videogames

Since I was child, I've been developing an afittion for videogames
That's because my childhood was pretty lonely, my mom used to work all day long, so I used to spend most of the time after school playing Sega Genesis, my first videogame system.

Since then, I have owned a lot of other systems, the one I remember most of that time is one called "Creation", that it was a cheap copy of the classic "Nintendo entertaiment system", someting like this:

Now I own an Xbox 360 video game system from Microsoft company. It's a lot more advanced system that the others I just mentioned but the science behind videogaming i'ts still the same. You put the game on, press start button, and the game begins.

The best thing about this generation of videogame systems is the fact that there's a lot of deeper, dramatic, mature and diverse tematics. In fact, the videgames saga called "Mass Effect" it's a perfect example of how mix an amazing deep history, with a fun gameplay and leaving in the hands of the player the development of the argument by the decision that you have to take while you're playing.

I can't spend the time that i would like on playing videogames now, but I love to scape from my responsabilities from time to time and having a good time.
